Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Minsk which is the capital city of Belarus. The father of her Sergey (d. 2019) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was birthed in Minsk 5 May 1998. Aryna Sabalenka holds twelve WTA Singles titles. One that was awarded the title 'Grand Slam' in the Australian Open 2023. As a doubles specialist she has also won at the US Open of 2019 as in addition to the Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. The year she was born, she was the winner of each of her first WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partner, completing her Sunshine Double. This feat was only achieved by four couples competing in singles for women. In January of 2023 she reached her highest ranking in singles. The 23rd day of August 2021, she rose to the second spot in the the world rankings. When she played doubles, she managed to push her way to the top at the beginning of February that year, following the win in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to make it in this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov coached her between 2018 until the close of 2019, and also in the part of early 2020. Dieter Kindlmann and her were briefly together from August to September 2020. From the beginning of 2020 she's been trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova are her main inspirations.
